This page explains what Binly collects, why, and what you can do about it. "Business" means a bin cleaning business that uses Binly. "Customer" means a person who books a wash on a Business's booking page.
What we collect
- From Businesses: email address, password (stored only as a scrambled hash we can't read back), business name, city, phone, logo, prices and settings, the jobs you mark done or paid, and job photos you add. When card payments start, billing details are handled by our payment processor; Binly never sees or stores card numbers.
- From Customers who book: what the booking page asks for, usually name, phone, address, ZIP code, trash day, email and answers to the Business's questions. We collect this for the Business that owns the booking page and use it only to run that Business's bookings.
- When you accept our Terms: the date, the version of the Terms and your browser type, as proof of the agreement.
- To stop abuse: short-lived counters tied to your IP address, which limit how many logins, sign-ups and bookings can be tried in a row. They expire on their own within a day.
Cookies and tracking
Binly uses one cookie, and only after a Business logs in: it keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It is needed for the app to work and is not used for tracking. Customers booking a wash get no cookies. We do not use ads, tracking pixels, analytics or fingerprinting.
Outside services
- Hosting and storage: the site runs on Vercel and data is stored with Upstash, in the United States.
- Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address.
- Weather: the owner app asks Open-Meteo for the forecast for the city in your settings. Only the city name is sent.
The demo
The demo does not send anything you type to Binly or anyone else. Its settings and test bookings are saved only in your own browser (local storage). You can erase them with Reset Demo or by clearing your browser data.
How we use it
To run the Service: show booking pages, save bookings for the right Business, bill Businesses, give support, keep the Service secure and follow the law. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use Customer information for our own marketing.
Who we share it with
The Business a Customer books with; the service providers above, who host and store data for us; a payment processor once card payments start; and authorities when the law requires it.
Keeping it and deleting it
A Business can download all of its data, or delete its account, at any time from Settings, then Account. Deleting erases the business, its Customers, bookings and photos from our database right away and turns off its booking page. The only thing we keep is the record that the Terms were accepted (described above), which has no email, name, business details or IP address, so we can show the agreement if there is ever a dispute. If an account is closed for another reason, such as unpaid billing, we keep its data for up to 90 days so the Business can come back, then delete it. Customers who want their information changed or deleted should contact the Business they booked with, and we will help that Business do it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what information we have about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. Contact us to use these rights.
Children
The Service is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), scrambled passwords, limits on repeated login tries and checks on everything sent to our server, and only the Business that owns the data can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Changes and contact
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Questions: contact details coming soon.
